I have been dying to shoot a surprise proposal.  I shoot engagements and weddings all year but hadn’t had the opportunity to photograph a proposal until Cody contacted me this Spring.  He planned the perfect downtown Kansas City proposal and wanted me to capture every moment!

When Cody and I strategized, I told him that the Liberty Memorial was always busy so I’d blend in with the crowd and capture the proposal. Oddly enough, no tourists were there when I arrived!  I did my best to look like I was an uninterested bystander surfing the internet, and pulled out my camera right before he got down on one knee.

The proposal went off without a hitch!  Ashley said yes and the rest is history! 🙂 We captured some photos of the two of them before they headed to the plaza for dinner…as a newly engaged couple.  Congrats!!
