Derek and Lauren’s Powell Gardens Chapel wedding was wedding #2 for me on a double header wedding weekend.  I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about Sunday weddings that make them seem so peaceful and laid back.  That’s exactly the way this wedding felt.  Their intimate wedding day with family and close friends, was the perfect way to end a busy weekend.

Full of beautiful natural settings, Powell Gardens is a photographer’s dream!  Looking through the gallery, I’m so happy with all the variety we were able to get in Derek and Lauren’s portraits.  The chapel at Powell Gardens is just the sweetest wedding venue and the entire property is full of great portrait spots.  Since this couple did a first look, they had 3 portrait sessions and I did my best to take advantage of all the great spots Powell has to offer.

The couple ended their day with a live band, dinner, and dancing at the Grand Hall at Powell Gardens.  Being a part of Derek and Lauren’s wedding day was such an honor and I’m thrilled for this sweet couple!
