I have a love/hate relationship with social media, but when it brings old friends together, I love it.  Jaime and I grew up in the same small town in Iowa many years ago.  We stayed connected on Facebook, and like so many people, watched each others lives through social media.  When she contacted me earlier this year about her upcoming wedding at the Waterfront Event Center at Lake Okoboji, I jumped at the chance to travel to this beautiful location!

The water, the boats, and the warm summer air made this midwestern beach wedding everything Carlos and Jaime were hoping for.  Surrounded by their children, family, and friends, they said their vows in front of Lake Okoboji and the setting sun. After their sweet ceremony, the night was just beginning.  Cocktails and yard games on the lawn, dinner and dancing inside, and an impromptu hot air balloon flyover turned this wedding into a party.

After cutting the cake, Carlos, Jaime, and I snuck outside for some sunset photos.  Their photos on the dock are my favorite photos of the entire day.  If you read my blogs you know sunset photos are always my favorite!  I’m so thrilled I got to be a part of this day and celebrate with this couple!
