Eric and Shannon’s Wedding at the Royal Room at Briarcliff in Kansas City, MO was beautiful in so many ways.  A beautiful venue, beautiful friendships, and a beautiful celebration of love.  The forecast may have called for a day full of rain but it didn’t stop us from capturing stunning photos of their wedding.

This day was a perfect example of why you don’t need to worry about rain on your wedding day.  It may have been raining cats and dogs but we used every window of opportunity to capture portraits.  Eric and Shannon’s first look took place during a 15 minute window of time where it wasn’t raining and they are some of the most beautiful photos of the day!

Their ceremony took place inside the Royal Room at Briarcliff and the rain on the windows created a perfect backdrop.  The rain stopped at the end of the ceremony giving us an unexpected opportunity for a few husband and wife photos before the reception started.  After some epic entrances by the wedding party, and some excellent Jack Stack BBQ, the party got started.  The couple toasted their future, cut the cake, and danced together for the first time as husband and wife.  Before the night ended we snuck over to the the Briarcliff Pond for a few sunset portraits that showcased just how in love this couple is.  Congrats to Eric and Shannon!!
