If you can’t tell by these photos, Cameron and Megan are completely in love.  Their joy and laughter is contagious and their Elms Hotel and Downtown Excelsior Springs engagement session was so much fun!  These two live outside of Kansas City, but were back in town for a weekend of wedding planning and engagement photos.  Even though the forecast called for a storm the night of their session, we decided to test fate and start shooting anyway!  I brought along my clear umbrella and we raced against the rain the entire time! This session is a great example of what I’m able to achieve in a short amount of time!

The Elms Hotel is the location of their October wedding so we decided to start there and check out the property.  We captured some great photos at the Elms before heading to downtown Excelsior Springs for some more photos.  If you’re like me and have never been to downtown Excelsior Springs you should go!  With quintessential downtown American charm, Excelsior gave us several great locations in spite of the rain!

Even though the rain started before we were finished, Cameron and Megan didn’t let it stop them from having a great time.  The shots with the umbrella are some of my absolute favorites!!  These two were so much fun to work with and I can’t wait for their October Wedding!
