A rainy start to a sunny day

Getting ready at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, getting married at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception and a wedding reception at Boulevard Brewery!  This was a jam packed, memory filled wedding day!

As I drove to the hotel the morning of the wedding it was pouring rain.  The forecast said it was supposed to clear up in the afternoon but the rain was relentless, and I’m not going to lie, I was nervous!

I met Karen and her bridesmaids, who were all smiles in spite of the rain, at the hotel.  We took all the getting ready photos and detail photos while keeping an eye on the pouring rain.  By the time we were ready to head to the Kauffman Center for wedding party photos the sky cleared up and the sun came out!

The perfect ending to a perfect day

We captured all the wedding party photos at the Kauffman Center before heading to the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception for the wedding ceremony.  This beautiful cathedral creates a stunning backdrop for couples to say their vows.  Inside and out, it’s a beautiful structure and I love shooting weddings here.

After the ceremony we headed to Boulevard Brewery for the wedding reception!  Jamie and Karen and all their guests capped off the day with an amazing party that I was thrilled to be a part of!
