Until this session, I hadn’t been to Burr Oaks yet this year. I was anxious to see what the woods looked like after the park cut down several trees. I’m happy to report that the woods are still there and just as magical. With the trees thinned out there’s more light and even more opportunities for gorgeous photos! Nick and Madeline’s Burr Oaks & downtown KC Engagement was my first session of Spring and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

We started our session in the woods at Burr Oaks. With so many great locations for photos, we could have spent the entire evening there! We headed downtown to finish their engagement session at the Liberty Memorial. With a beautiful sunset, and beautiful views of downtown KC, we captured some great photos that I hope Nick and Madeline cherish forever!

I’m looking forward to all of my Spring engagement sessions this year and also looking forward to Kansas City in bloom!
