It’s always interesting to me where opportunities choose to present themselves. Who would have thought that when I wasn’t even trying, a dream session would just fall in my lap. A message on Instagram asking if I could shoot a wedding in two weeks turned into one of the most beautiful portrait sessions I’ve ever had. Jordan and Marissa’s intimate wedding ceremony at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Liberty, MO had it all. A bride and groom madly in love, a warm summer evening, and a beautiful sunset. The only thing that could make it better would be if the mayor of Kansas City officiated the ceremony…..and he did. 🙂
After the couple’s sweet ceremony we hopped on a golf cart and stopped everywhere there was good light. On the course, on a bridge, and in the grass….we went everywhere. This session is a perfect example of why I schedule sunset portraits into all of my wedding timelines. The hour before sunset is seriously magical and you can go absolutely anywhere. All of these portraits were captured in about 45 minutes and they are stunning. Shoal Creek Golf Course is a beautiful property with so many great locations for photos. The course itself and the surrounding prairie grass and flowers made this wedding a photographer’s dream. Thank you Jordan and Marissa for this opportunity!
